Here we have the Tree Giant, who's playing with some magical fireworks he's found in a cave beyond the mountains, in an area that looks so much unlike the vast planes and forests he's used to. No wonder they told him to stay away, he could catch fire any moment!
I've made this thumbnail for a Daz Stream, in which I'm talking about adding particle and depth effects at render time in Daz Studio. Adding these little things can add something special to an image, here's a little breakdown: The dust particles/fire sparks were a flat plane with an emissive picture, used with Ultra Scatter to create the instances and size variations. The fire is a plane too, also with an emissive image. Both of these are part of MattyManx's Fire and Smoke product. I haven't used a landscape set for the background, only a simple ground plane with a dark colour and a bump map made from a difference cloud image in Photoshop, then added gravestones, a tree and some rocks and bones to the immediate foreground. The background is made with concentric cylinder planes, a simple technique to fill in gaps in the distance. I've seen this technique in video game design, and it works so well. I was happy to see KindredArts and Ravenloor release something like this for Daz Studio in a product called Parallax Backgrounds.
While it takes a while to put this together, the whole scene is extremely fast to render. Enjoy!
