Here's what came out in last Sunday's Genesis 9 stream, in which I've tried to wrap the new figure around Lilith 7 (based on Genesis 3). This was just a workflow test, and I must say I'm delighted with how easy Genesis 9 is to use in R3DS Wrap. I hardly needed any correlation points, there was only minimal amounts of clean-up to be done, and it was just so much faster to get a conceptual result. The separation of eyes and mouth bags is such a great idea! This was just a quick test in base resolution, and there's a lot I can do to improve this. but the main takeaway is: it works, and it works well!
I had the character ready to rock inside Daz Studio after only an hour of casual work, then tested the new base skin materials with the G9 Summer Bikini and Voss Hair. I've included the wide shots for reference. There's no post work on any of these, I've rendered them with Jay's Killer Lights on a transparent background and added the gradient in Photoshop for flexibility. During testing, with a plain colour in Daz Studio, it looked just as nice.
I ended up spending some time making the bikini fit super accurately with Blender, just because the original renders I've made during the stream were showing a bit of fit-imperfection and well... you know what I'm like. A bit of elastic deform sculpting worked wonders, certainly helped a great deal by ManFriday's OBJ Companion.
Will Lilith 9 make it onto the Daz Store? I'm not sure yet, but she's certainly a nice and successful experiment.
