I was doing some more testing in R3DS Wrap, this time with just a head scan from 3D.sk instead of a full body scan. This model is Orien, who is available for free to play with: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Nx1Q1b
The trick here was to get inventive with selecting the correct parts of the Genesis figure, namely the face, neck, upper neck, ears and lips, but de-select the internal mouth bags and eye sockets. It's a little tricky to mix and match material zones and polygroups, but it's doable. Bonus Tip: de-select the eye sockets manually, they're part of the Genesis face and cause issues when selected during the wrapping process.
Orien needed a few more adjustment points due to his pronounced lip shape, which is much less visible on the Genesis model. Once wrapped and imported back into DAZ Studio, I added a jacket and made it pink with a shader by 3D Universe, giving him a bit of a Miami Vice look. The punk glasses and gold chain were a nice touch too and completed the look with a cool as cucumber expression. I flattened out the hair underneath the glasses as it would have intersected otherwise. These types of adjustments are really quick and easy in ZBrush. While I was there I also crumpled up the jacket collar a little - that's what happens in the humid air of Miami.
I imported the Orien morph into Genesis 8.1 and used the Darius 8 skin texture, with tweaked light sets by CakeOne. Buy the NFT here: https://opensea.io/assets/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/106213606459603633188843666604958964604803620210378860846926494337657116557313
